Best Film Award for Dilsukhnagar Arena’s ‘Feel the Punch’ at Bit Film-12 Digital Film Festival – Germany

‘Feel the Punch’, an Animation short film crafted by students of Dilsukhnagar Arena was declared winner of the ‘Best Film Award’ in the 3D Space (Animation) Awards Category of the Bit Film-12 Digital Film Festival on 25 November, 2011.

An extremely funny short film, ‘Feel the Punch’ was conceived and animated by students of Dilsukhnagar Arena as part of their industry-oriented Animation training program. The Academy offers revolutionary Animation training and has been setting the standards in Digital Media Education ever since inception in 1998.

Students of the Academy have been dominating the awards circuit and have brought home 37 prestigious awards so far at various national and international film festivals: the latest being ‘Feel the Punch’.

By far the most popular film in its category in India, ‘Feel the Punch’ is a rage on Youtube with its video having registered over 8.5 clicks (8,54,947 as on Nov 26, 2011). No other film in this category has been able to even come close to this extreme adulation on Youtube. What’s more, Dilsukhnagar Arena has won seven coveted awards so far: another impressive and unrivalled achievement. 3rd Nasik international Film Festival – 2010 “The Farmer and His Goat” basks in Golden Glory

The 2D Animation short film ‘The Farmer and His Goat’ outshone 13 short films at the Nasik International Film Festival-2010 to capture the Golden Camera Award (Dadasaheb Phalke Janmabhumi Puraskar) for Best Animation film.

Having won five prestigious awards earlier, this is the sixth award for ‘The Farmer and His Goat’ – a 2D Animation short film crafted by 3 budding Animation students of Dilsukhnagar Arena. A film with a sense of purpose, ‘The Farmer and His Goat’ sends out a strong message against animal sacrifice; one of the most ghastly practices still prevalent in India-RajaSekhar Buggaveeti

Govind Rajewar, Sachin Punde and Parag Warade, three budding Animation students of Dilsukhnagar Arena had to craft a film as part of their Animation course at Dilsukhnagar Arena, Hyderabad and decided to make the project a meaningful one. The effort paid off as the film won 6 prestigious awards. The most recent award was at The Nasik International Film Festival held between Janauary 20 and 23, 2010. The film dominated 13 other short films in the Animation short films category to capture the ‘Golden Camera Award (Dadasaheb Phalke Janmabhumi Puraskar)’ for Best Animation film which comes with a shining Trophy, a Certificate and a Cash Prize sponsored by the Maharashtra Government-RajaSekhar Buggaveeti


A celebration of technical excellence and the spirit of creative Animation, ‘Feel the punch’, Dilsukhnagar Arena’s enthralling High-Definition 3D Animation short film achieved a record-cracking 4 lakh clicks for its video uploaded on the internet’s most popular video-sharing website, ‘You Tube’. The record assumes immense importance, considering the fact that no Indian 3D Animation short film has even managed to cross 1 lakh clicks till date, on You Tube.

The film also dominated Animation festivals across India, winning four prestigious awards including the coveted TASI Viewer’s Choice Award at Anifest India-2010. The other awards for ‘Feel the punch’ include, The Best Film award at the “24 FPS Animation Awards-2010”, Special Jury Award at Asifa’s International Animation Day celebrations, Awards of Excellence-2010 and a Special Jury Award at the Short and Documentary Film Festival of Hyderabad-2010. The film recently won a nomination at another important film festival and is well-placed to top-up it awards bouquet with another prized trophy.

Crafted by 20 budding students at Dilsukhnagar Arena, India’s most-sought after Animation, VFX and Web education facility, ‘Feel the punch’ is a shining testimony to the far-reaching impact of world-class Animation education.

The film is all set to register 5 lakh clicks on You Tube.

Dilsukhnagar Arena lifts another prestigious cup!

…or award, rather! The BEST DIGITAL PAINTING AWARD at Asifa India ’s digital painting competition held during the first leg of the International Animation Day-2010 celebrations at Hyderabad went to Anjaneyulu Gongala, a promising student of Multimedia from Dilsukhnagar Arena, Hyderabad. The prestigious award at the most awaited annual animation festival in India comes with a state-of-the-art Bamboo tablet worth Rs.5000/- from Wacom.

Despite competition from other leading Animation training centres across India which participated in the competition, Dilsukhnagar Arena managed to walk away with the prestigious award: a shining tribute to its high-caliber training and inspirational learning environment that has seen many of its students romp home with dozens of awards at leading national and international film festivals across the country in the past few years.

The 10th edition of ASIFA INDIA ’S INTERNATIONAL ANIMATION DAY CELEBRATIONS kicked off at Shilpakala Vedika, Hitec City , Hyderabad on Sunday the 26th of October, 2010.

4th CMS VATAVARAN Environment and Wildlife Travelling Film Festival & Environment Forum, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Hyderabad.

A trio of award-winning 2D Animation short films on environment conservation (Fuel Duel, A Garden Dream & The Farmer and his Goat) crafted by students of Dilsukhnagar Arena received the prestigious honour of special screenings at the 4th Traveling Film Festival of CMS VATAVARAN in Hyderabad on August 13, 2010. Each of these films drove the audience into a frenzy and they burst into a thunderous applause at “THE END”. Mr. N. Bhaskara Rao, Chairman of CMS invited RajaSekhar Buggaveeti
, CEO of Dilsukhnagar Arena,
onto the stage and felicitated him. He congratulated the budding Animators from Dilsukhnagar Arena and appreciated their efforts in spreading awareness on environmental concerns.
